Pittsburgh metallic hardcore outfit Eternal Sleep have premiered their upcoming album, The Emptiness Of…, at Invisible Oranges. The record will officially be released this Friday, May 20, via Closed Casket Activities. Pick it up at this location. The record is mercilessly heavy with its endless onslaught of murderous breakdowns and muscular, metallic grooves. It’s equally catchy and destructive. Chicagoan instrumental rock/metal trio Russian Circles have announced the release of their sixth full-length album and follow-up to 2013’s Memorial. The new record will be titled Guidance and will see a release through Sargent House on August 5. The 7-track, 40-minute long LP was recorded with Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio in Salem, MA. The album’s artwork, track listing and teaser trailer can be seen after the break.
The band will also embark on a North American tour this fall in support of the record, with Cloakroom and Helms Alee supporting on select dates. Those dates can be found below.

Italian technical death metal unit Deceptionist have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Initializing Irreversible Process, at Decibel. Tilted “Quest for Identity”, the new track churns out three blistering minutes of shape-shifting riffs that thrash and writhe through complex rhythmic shifts. Denver’s Wayfarer have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Old Souls, at Metal Sucks. Tilted “Deathless Tundra”, the eight-minute leviathan unleashes melancholic, monolithic doom and blistering, atmospheric black metal in abundance. Canadian neoclassical-influenced technical death metallers First Fragment have premiered their upcoming album, Dasein, at Metal Injection. The record will officially be released this Friday, May 20, via Unique Leader Records. Pre-orders can be placed at this location. The record is an interesting take on the tech death genre. As previously-mentioned, the band take a neoclassical approach to the genre with its limitless supply of dizzying solos and melodies, which are blended flawlessly with traditional tech metal chaos. Noise outfit Swollen Organs recently premiered its new full-length, Feelings About Gender Guilt Over Time, over at Heathen Harvest. The record is out now via Annihilvs Power Elecronix and can be picked up here. The record is a 11-track, 45-minute journey through psychologically tormenting and harrowing soundscapes. It is an uncomfortable examination of sexual obsession and violence that may prove to be too much for some. Check it out in full here.
