Psychedelic rock outfit It’s Not Night: It’s Space have premiered a new track from their upcoming LP, Our Birth is But a Sleep and a Forgetting, at The Obelisk. Titled “The Beard Of Macroprosopus”, the new hypnotic jam spans nearly nine minutes and length and features engaging, exploratory instrumentation that is hard not to get lost in. From start to finish, the track is a constant barrage of swelling, effect-drenched rock that is the auditory equivalent of an acid trip. Check it out now.
Our Birth is But a Sleep and a Forgetting will be released on June 24 via Small Stone Recordings.
Brutal death metal quartet Internal Suffering have premiered the title track to their upcoming record, Cyclonic Void of Power, at Heavy Blog is Heavy. “Cyclonic Void of Power”, like its name suggests, unleashes a cyclone of bone-grinding, slamming death metal instrumentation with a technical edge. It’s furious, complex and just plain mean. Check it out after the jump.
Cyclonic Void of Power will be released on June 24 via Unique Leader Records.
Massachusetts doom outfit Conclave have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Sins of the Elders, at Decibel. Titled “Cut It Off”, the seven-minute behemoth unleashes stomping, hazy-eyed doom and gloom in abundance. The band commented on the new track:
“Both musically and lyrically, ‘Cut It Off’ is punching yourself out of a box,… “When you’ve had enough of the shit and nothing seems to matter or hold value anymore, you reach the point where you’re willing and ready to destroy everything, starting with yourself. Scorched. Fucking. Earth.”
Check out the track after the break along with visual accompaniment.
Sins of the Elders will be released on June 10 via PATAC Records and Lost Apparition Records.
Post-hardcore act Frameworks have premiered the official video for their new track, “Purge”, at Nerdist. The emotionally-charged tune, which comes from the group’s upcoming Smother LP, is set to a clip directed by Max Moore. Vocalist Luke Pate commented on the video:
“‘Purge’ was written about family members who weren’t around when they should have been and now that I or the band have something they consider deemable of boasting, credit is taken where credit will never be due,”
Check out the video after the break.
Smother will be released on July 8 via Deathwish Inc.
Philadelphia/New York grinders Congenital Death have released the official video for their new track “This is What (American) Dreams Are Made Of”, which will appear on the group’s upcoming Fucklove: Prophet of Death. The bludgeoning, dissonant track is set to a disorienting clip directed by John T. Sepa, which splices together clips of the band performing with video snippets of a political nature, among other things. Check out the video after the break.
Fucklove: Prophet of Death will be released on June 14
