Arizona blackened death/sludge hybrids Thra are poised to release their new EP, Gardens of Rot, on March 15 via Camo Pants Records. The forthcoming record features an unrelenting, 26-minute barrage of eviscerating riffs and murky, filthy tones that runs throughout four massive tracks.
In anticipation of its impending release, we at Svbterranean bring you one of said tracks. Enter “Trial By Stone”; a five-minute onslaught of muddy, buzzsaw guitars that collide with toxic, sludgy grotesqueness. If that doesn’t excite you then we can’t help you.

French blackened sludge duo Vous Autres are poised to release their debut full-length, Champ du Sang, on March 1 via Sludgelord Records. Following the band’s 2017 EP, Trente Pièces d’Argent, Champ du Sang sees the band exploring the darker, more haunting aspects of their sound, which is supported by scathing lyrics dealing with the delusions of human nature and the contemporary world.
In anticipation of its release next month, we at Svbterranean bring you an exclusive stream of the record’s sprawling second track, “Pauvre Animal, Simple Pantin”. The six-minute tune features monstrous, caustic doom instrumentation that is swallowed by malevolent, overbearing atmospherics. The song embarks on this cacophonous death march, which is spearheaded by venomous vocals, through most of the track before reaching a deeply melancholic climax. Check it out for yourself below.
