Tech metal giants Gorguts have premiered their highly-anticipated new EP, Pleiades’ Dust, over at Decibel. The mammoth single song release will officially be released May 13 via Season of Mist. Progressive sludge metallers Astrakhan have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Reward in Purpose, over at The Sludgelord. The new track, which just so happens to close out the record, is titled “Hand on the Stone” and it brings the riffs in abundance. The song churns out melodic, stampeding sludge that is peppered with psychedelic, hazy ambiance and spacey instrumental breaks. Check out the track right here.
Reward in Purpose will be released on June 10 via War on Music and Sunmask Records.
Australian technical death squad Psycroptic have announced a new North American tour in continued support of their 2015 self-titled album. The trek will begin on June 18 in Kansas City, Missouri and will conclude on July 7 in Fort Worth, Texas. The band will be joined by King Parrot, The Zenith Passage and Beyond Creation on select stops of the tour. Check out the full itinerary after the break.
Californian doom metal outfit Castle have released a new track from their forthcoming album, Welcome to the Graveyard, which is due out on July 15. Titled “Flash of the Pentagram”, the song rushes right out the gate with propulsive, old school heavy metal chops and soaring vocals. It’s heavy, it’s catchy, it’s Castle doing their thing.
